    Hospital Wastewater Discharge Requirements:
    1、How to effectively prevent and control pollution is an urgent issue that needs to be solved by environmental protection and health authorities.

    2、The state has clear requirements for free chlorine in discharge of hospital wastewater : the contact time in the disinfection contact tank should be 1.5 hours or longer, and the total free chlorine at the outlet should be controlled at 6.5–10 mg/L. Hospitals using chlorine dioxide disinfection must comply with this standard whether the wastewater is discharged directly into natural water bodies or into sewage treatment plants.

    3、If ultraviolet (UV) disinfection is used, the concentration of suspended solids in wastewater should be less than 10 mg/L, the UV irradiation dose should be controlled at 30–40 mJ/cm², and the irradiation time should be more than 10 seconds, which can also be determined based on test results.

    4、If ozone disinfection is used, the concentration of suspended solids in wastewater should be less than 20 mg/L, the ozone dose should be more than 10 mg/L, and the contact time should be more than 12 minutes, which can also be determined based on test results.
